My husband sang this half way accross the Lakes of Ponchatrain, all you can see both directions is the horizon. We had met some nice new orleans folks the day before on a steamboat on the mississippi and they took us out for a ‘spin’ the next day! They stopped half way and were blown away when he sang it! I was cringing with the cheese of the situation but it was cool!!! Nice story and a GGRReat song!! LOVE IT
